The Luck

The squad are searching for Anderson and Goldman after they called in artillery fire on their own position. The area is destroyed, the area has been cleared of all signs on the enemy. All that remains are a few parts of uniforms, Ferguson the radioman body is recovered, There is no sign of Goldman or Anderson.

The squad are ordered out by Colonel Stringer and the search will be carried on from the air. Percell thinks they should stay and search some more.
 

Back at base he asks McKay if he is going out to search for them, McKay's chopper is broken so they can't go out till first light.

McKay goes to see Alex , she's written and article , convinced that Goldman is dead.

Percell goes to the club and starts drinking a lot, he doesn't understand what its about anymore. Johnson punches Chambers after misunderstanding when he calls him "Sarge", thinking its because Anderson is missing. When in fact his papers have come through. 

The next morning in the chopper Percell is regretting the night before as the guys search for Anderson and Goldman.

Goldman and Anderson hear the chopper but they have been captured by the N.V.A and are being taken north, they realise they if they are going to try to escape them need to do it sooner rather than later.

.

Alex's boss offers the chance to go to Paris to report on  the peace talks, she has to think about it.

Back at base , Percell is angry that they didn't find them, and gets into Taylor and punches him reminding him that he was sent back to base from the mission because he was only thinking about Lt.Patterson. Sgt. Johnson comes in and gives them orders for the next morning.

Anderson and Goldman are being held in bamboo cages during the night. Anderson manages to escape but is stopped by Dong and then surrounded by the N.V.A soldiers.

The recaptured Anderson is beaten and warned not to try to escape again.

The next morning Bravo are out on patrol for a coordinated Hammer and Anvil operation. Where the rest of the company will drive the enemy towards Bravo.

Alex returns to see Muoi , he has no news for her as it was not his contacts battle but the N.V.A.

In the village ,Dong , cuts Andersons hands free and gives him a knife to cut Goldman free and they escape. They run into a guard and over power him. Dong points them in the right direction.

Major Diem discovers the escape and calls the troops to search for them , then Mama San, tells him that Dong was responsible and Major Diem executes Dong. They head off to hunt down the escapees.
 

Goldman and Anderson unknowingly walk into the ambush that Bravo have set up. The newbie spots movement and calls out VC VC. The guys open fire on Goldman and Anderson.

Anderson and Goldman call out to stop shooting at them, they are Americans. Percell runs across to find out who or what's in front of Bravo's position , he's shocked to find Goldman and Anderson. Just as they get back to the group the N.V.A have flanked them and attack.

Bravo manage to fight them off and the N.V.A pull back.

Alex visits Goldman in the hospital. She doesn't tell him she's going to Paris,,yet.
